I like to request a feature to pull trunk utilization data from our Avaya Call Managers. I need a report or graph showing peak traffic for each trunk group and how many channels are required to accommodate the peak traffic..
It seems you'd be able to get this info via a UnDP and the MIB/OID info provided by Avaya, or discovered through a MIB walk. I take it you've had no success with either of these paths?
To be honest, I have not tried this approach because I am not familiar with these options. Maybe you can give me a hand and I am happy to try it.
Thank you
There are a number of excellent resources in Thwack that may help you accomplish your goal. First I'd search Thwack for "Avaya" and read what others have had for challenges, and whether they've been able to satisfactorily solve them. Try this link for starters: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/search.jspa?q=avaya
You can find lots of information about building and applying Universal Device Pollers in Thwack. Here are two links to start you out with:
Universal Device Poller Troubleshooting Guide
https://thwack.solarwinds.com/search.jspa?q=creating+a+universal+device+poller
And you can learn about doing MIB Walks with NPM here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/search.jspa?q=mib+walk
As always, the NPM product information page is one of the best sources of information for how to achieve new successes. I don't like to use the "RTFM" format, but there's no substitute for reading the friendly/furnished manual.
As a last resort, you can always open a Support Ticket with Solarwinds and leverage their experts' knowledge and training and experience.
