Currently custom widgets are only for the incidents object.

What data from problems are you looking to see on the dashboard?

I have an IT manager who would like to see it as she pulls up the dashboard every morning. I can let her know it is not a feature. Thanks.

Here is a workaround you can try. In the Problem List View, build a filter to display the ones she would like to view and use the "Actions" menu to Export to RSS Feed. Then you can use the RSS Feed URL to create a new "RSS Feed Widget" on the Dashboard for that user.
