I'd like to access old reports within a specific timeline. How long does Orion store reports for? Is it possible to see reports from more than 2 months before? I can only see reports from last month. Can anybody help?
I might need more information to assist. For example, how much data is in the Orion database that you can pull report data from varies based on your retention settings. Article Detail (solarwinds.com)Now a report that pulls data can be scheduled, and the results can be saved (say to a file share or email) How long that stays around depends on you. But Orion does not keep copies of report results that I am aware of.
The retention is set to one year
Then you should be able to edit or create new report for the timeframes you need.
Just a note, the data in the database gets averaged up over time depending on your settings. So the first week of the report may be samples every poll, but after a time period it rounds it up to average per hour, day, week etc. If you want to keep the most detailed info, consider running your reports more frequently and save the results as a file or pdf somewhere so you can go back and review them at the highest sampling

I still wonder though, I checked the old Solarwinds version retention settings against the ones in the new one and they were the same, however, I can still access the old reports on the old system unlike on the new one where I can't even see the ones from last month. So I wonder if there's another setting that determines how long a report stays stored.
Secondly, I tried querying the Database for a report from days ago that I can see on the web console but couldn't find the table. How's that even possible? My theory is that the tables are renamed/re-indexed when stored in the DB.
