What ports are needed for Advanced Configuration to synchronize?

We've recently added a couple of extra pollers on a new network segment. We opened all the usual ports including 17777 for the administration service. But whenever I try to load the Advanced Configuration pages (YOUR_SERVER/.../Global.aspx) I get: "The SolarWinds Administration service has not responded on the following servers: Serverx, ServerY."

Any idea why? I thought it was just the administration service that managed this so I don't get why this error is popping up.

Test-NetConnection on port 17777 reports it's Up.

I have to ask, are you testing from the servers or your workstation as you may get differing results from the tnc command. (Network firewalls etc)

I'm running tnc from the main polling engine.

try allowing 17778 and 17774. Then my thoughts turn to looking at those new servers directly and potentially running wireshark.

Those are allowed too.

I reviewed that yesterday and we've got everything open. I'm thinking its a bug.

If you are able to run wireshark and look at the traffic logs, that would eliminate some confusion. Otherwise, I am starting to think that the orion logs may be useful. Have you run SolarWinds Active Diagnostics on one of the new pollers? Just choose I want to select the tests and leave it at default (all). It will take a bit to complete - but may, with any luck, point out what is happening.
