Our WHD host is using a wildcard SSL certificate. When performing Asset Discovery using a WMI connection sync, it finds endpoints but collects none or very few. Even the reported collected endpoints do not get updated into the DB. On checking the log we come across the error;
ERROR w.helpdesk.com.macsdesign.whd.daemon - Error while triggering session in com.macsdesign.whd.daemon.ServletPulseDaemon: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: Host name ’ourhost.ourdmoin.com' does not match the certificate subject provided by the peer (CN=*.ourdomain, O=ourcompany L=ourcity C=OurCounty)
We have raised a support ticket for this but no answer yet. Has anybody successfully performed discovery via WMI on a host using wildcard SSL?
