Passing an outside variable to a SWQL query on a modern dash board?

My company has almost 300 sites. There are about 60 network engineers that support these sites. I want to create a network landing page for these guys with a standard modern dashboard. I want to provide a drop down box with all of the sites and whatever site they pick, that sited will feed all of the widgets in the dashboard to show them just the information for that site. Is it possible to feed the site information into each one of these widgets to populated the page with the correct information?

The modern ones are probably harder than classic for this for the moment

You can filter a modern dashboard based on stuff in the URL, so there's a few paths possibly open

1) Table widget with sites -> Link attached to each with a generated URL filter

2) Table widget with sites -> Link attached to each to like the groupdetails view of a group, perhaps with some custom views attached to them (starts veering into classic)

3) Table widget with sites -> Link attached, joined to a "homepage" URL list that may be partially autogenerated partially manual
