How do I filter the "All Groups" widget to show only Groups with the custom property "Group_Under_Maintenance" set to Yes/True ?

I have created a custom property called "Group_Under_Maintenance" and this is set to "Yes" whenever the site which that group represents is undergoing maintenance.

I want to add the "All Nodes" widget to our home Summary page and have it filtered to show only sites that are currently under maintenance. Can anyone tell me what the SWQL command for this would be?

Thanks... I've tried this, or more correctly this:

Nodes.CustomProperties.Group_Under_Maintenance like 'Yes'

But I get an error...

I've also tried variants e.g. =1, >0 etc.

Perhaps the "All Groups" widget doesn't recognise custom values ?

My All Groups resource doesn't support SWQL filters so maybe you are on another resource?

I don't have Groups custom properties set up but this query may get you started if you want to try creating a custom query widget instructions are on the right here. (+) Widget: NetFlow Usage Per Polling Engine Query - Custom Queries - The Orion Platform - THWACK (solarwinds.com)

A starting place for a query would be.

SELECT
Groups.Name,
Groups.UnManaged
--[Groups].CustomProperties.DisplayName
FROM Orion.Groups
Where Unmanaged <> FALSE

You can achieve this in a much simple way isnt it. If you are using a Node custom attribute, if I have misunderstood then please ignore the below approach.

You mentioned you have a Node custom attribute called 'Group_Under_Maintenance' which you set to 'Yes' correct ?

Create a New Group -> Add New Group -> Add Dynamic Query -> Orion Object is Node -> Add Condition -> Select 'Group_Under_Maintenace' is 'True' and save the Group.

This should show all the Nodes that are under maintenance in that Group.

thanks but it actually a Group custom property, not a Node custom property as I originally typed.

I think I may have solved it with a Custom Qeury defined as:

SELECT DISTINCT Name
from Orion.Groups AS [Groups]
WHERE [Groups].CustomProperties.Group_Under_Maintenance=1

which gives:

I'd like to make it return a URL so you can click on it and go straight to the Group if possible... any ide what else I need to add to the query for this?

This should include the URL

   Groups.Name AS Name,
   Groups.DetailsURL AS [_LinkFor_Name],
   Groups.UnManaged
   --[Groups].CustomProperties.DisplayName
FROM Orion.Groups

Many thanks for all of the pointers... I finally got it working using this SWQL... I'm no expert in this so there is probably a tidier way to write it (but it works!)

On to the next task!!
