How can I change alert severity "friendly" drop list names (i.e. Serious to High)?

I am looking to rename the Alert Severity category names listed in the drop list for alert properties. I'd like to make the following mappings to align with our SLA standards:

Critical -> Critical (<1 Hr)
Serious -> High (<2 Hrs)
Warning -> Medium (< 8 Hrs)
Informational -> Low (<24 Hrs)
Notice -> None

I have already added these as custom properties, but these values should be stored in a table somewhere. I know they map to a severity integer in the AlertConfigurations table, but I can't find the link. This should still allow the use of the ${N=Alerting;M=Severity} variable in the alerts.

The variable for a custom property is ${N=SwisEntity;M=CustomProperties.YOURCUSTOMPROPERTYNAME} if you are trying to show that value in your alert text.

If you are just looking for the severity mapping number to name, then this is the list:

Oriion.AlertConfigurations.Severity	Plain Text
0	Informational
1	Warning
2	Critical
3	Serious
4	Notice

Apologies for the late reply. Thanks for the mapping. I think what I was hoping for was to change the actual Plain Text values for the mappings, i.e.

Oriion.AlertConfigurations.Severity Plain Text
0 BlahBlah (instead of "Informational")

Essentially, I'd like the drop list in the GUI to use the SLA names we defined instead of the severity names OOB. Not sure what impact that would have on alerting, but I assume things are mostly triggered from the severity value and not the name.

Yeah - we don't let you change the names, but you could always change them in the alerting messaging.

I haven't been able to test this, but you might be able to put this in the Alert Message Body:

 WHEN 'Critical' THEN 'Business Critical'
 WHEN 'Warning' THEN 'Business Impacting'
