Hi all -
The issue:
I performed an Orion platform upgrade from 2022.2.6 to 2022.3 yesterday.
This morning, I woke up to find that a batch of RHEL servers didn't properly receive agent updates and their agents remained at 2022.2.6. Our servers with other OS flavors (Windows, Solaris, etc.) got their agents updated just fine.
Now, all of these RHEL servers have intermittent agent connectivity and have been triggering a ton of false positive alerts. Sometimes, their 2022.2.6 agents can connect for up to several hours, but will eventually lose connectivity and trigger alerts for all the monitors on top of it.
I've been trying to push agent updates from SolarWinds, but these servers' agents seem to be hanging in an "Updating" state until they inevitably reconnect. But they never actually get updated, their stuck in 2022.2.6. Unfortunately, I do not have access to these servers so I'll have to coordinate with a sysadmin on Monday morning. I assume we'll need to re-install manually with the latest version.
My question:
Has anyone experienced this before and understands how to avoid this issue / why it's happening? It's odd to me that all other server agents got updated except for RHEL servers.
Thanks in advance!
