We need to go into Network Atlas and do some updates but we cannot login. I have tried my admin account and the local SW Admin account and nothing works. Any ideas?
Make sure the password is correct for the Admin account in Solarwinds. I still cannot get our regular user Admin accounts to work but we can get in now.
I just created a new local Solarwinds admin account making sure it had rights for Network Atlas.
I then jumped onto the Solarwinds server and logged onto Network Atlas with this new account. All worked sweet. Maybe try that.
If that doesn't work, try a reboot.
Do you get any error messages?
if the error is a straight up unknown password, then it is what it is, You can follow superfly's suggestion. If there's a legit error, it would be great if you can share it.
I checked that first and it is enabled for the domain groups I have setup and for the Solarwinds local Admin account.
I go to login, it says connecting, then I get login failed due to user name and password combination. If I go to Orion and login the account does work. I had this issue awhile back and the work around I found was to use the local Solarwinds Admin Account.
what you are doing make sense as I encounter the same with other tools for Solarwinds(namely the addip tool for IPAM). They always ask to use the Native Orion Accounts instead of windows account. However, for that error, that is as clear as it gets, you need to input the correct username and password. Try to follow superfly's suggestion.
Create a brand new user and see how you go.
Dear martian_monster, I have same issue too. I can logon Network Atlas from SolarWinds Orion Server (localhost) but cannot login by using Network Atlas application with other PC (Remote).
Thanks! Working on getting a test account setup so I can do this.
Created a new user in AD and added to the Solarwinds Admin group.
Tested logging into Orion and that account could get into Orion.
Opened up Network Atlas and the domain user still did not work.
Just for fun I created a new local test user in Orion and logged in locally it worked.
Looks like local accounts work fine but for some reason domain accounts do not work.
Are you running Network Atlas on the Main Polling Engine basically connecting to localhost? Or are you connecting from a remote system?
Is SWQL studio login working from the same system with the same accounts?

If it's working from the Server itself, that means you are having issues communicating from the the remote system. You might want to review the link above.
