I see posts for Orion, is there a way to integrate DPA and/or SQLSentry with Service Now? I would like to configure some of my alerts to created tickets.
Nothing official yet. However, since SQL Sentry now supports a generic webhooks interface, try creating a custom webhook for ServiceNow's webhook API.
Has anything moved forward in this area. It would really great update, as to eliminate the need for custom devleopment.
I integrated DPA to service-now. Its fairly 'round about' tho.
Use DPA alert engine to send trap to SolarWinds. Have SolarWinds make an alert on that trap that makes a service-now INC.
monitoringlife Would you care to share a setup on this I have the same project now since my DBA's dumped OEM for DPA. looking to go traps from DPA to SW to creating a SNOW incident.
@holbms Here's a recent Thwack article "How to Send DPA ALerts to Ticketing Systems Like SolarWinds ServiceDesk and ServiceNow" describing how to setup Orion/HCO translation of DPA notification traps into SNOW incidents.
Also @dkoceja - we've announced in the Thwack DPA What We're Working On that we are working on a means for DPA to manage sending notifications to ServiceNow. In essence, ServiceNow notifications would become an additional type of contact you will be able to define within DPA. You can watch or register to be sent notifications for the Thwack DPA Newsroom posts where we announce new releases and key features added in each.
We ended up just using the Mail Eater in SNOW, Setup a EMail templet in DPA to include all the required fields and let SNOW create the tickets. Much better ticket creation response then going through the SNMP extra steps..

SWQL is built on the framework of SQL and as such supports most of the standard clauses as part of a query. A very simple example query is: SELECT Caption, IPAddress, Vendor, ResponseTime FROM Orion.Nodes Dissecting this query is relatively straightforward: show some fields (Caption, IP address, Vendor, and Response Time)…
Active SSL Tunnels-ASA.UnDPThis poller *should* display the number of Active SSL VPN (Anyconnect) Tunnels currently connected to your box. However, I tried it with my 5520 running 8.0.4 and for some reason I get a OID Not Supported. Here's my post in the forum: *EDIT* This is confirmed working with at least Interm release…
