If possible change standalone client of DRS to client / server version?
There are multiple download files available.
If the Dameware file ends in ST, that means it is standalone only.
If you do not see ST, then it supports both Centralized and Standalone Server.
If you download from dameware.com for the product, its set to standalone download only for easier evaluations. The customer Portal should have the Standalone and Centralized Server download. If this is not the case please submit a ticket.
The other way to check is that after accepting the EULA, and install directory, there should be a 2 button option. If after the Install you just see the Next button change to Install without the 2 options, then its standalone only.
You need to reinstall DRS and chose centralized version to be able to connect to central server.
No need reinstall - contact with support for solution.
I'm trying to do the same thing.
I've scoured the registry, probably just missing it.
Tried uninstalling, removing the folder, and reinstalling with the command line for centralized mode.
Nothing has worked so far.
Contacted Dameware support and because our maintenance expired on 7/28 they told me they couldn't help and I should check the forums.
Funny how I get here and the only answer to this is "oh you don't have to reinstall, just contact support".
Unless someone knows the answer we may have to pay the ransom after all.
That would explain it. Everything beyond 11.0.1 has -ST on it. 11.0.1 is the last available without -st. I'll try that thank you!
