Dashboard charts and text sizing don't line up, text is overlapping next chart

I have created a dashboard for our NTA devices but whenever I select a smaller window size the charts are smaller but the text display goes over into the next charts area. It makes the dashboard look very sloppy an unreadable. How do you manage the widgets alignment and text positions? The built in dashboards have neatly spaced graphs and charts with text linging up why can't we do this with the Dashboard builder? see below

Did you able to find out what was the mistake as i have having same issue.

so far nobody has replied. I keep having this issue using thwack, nobody seems to really participate here in sharing. Probably have to create a support case..

The conversation column is long (because of the DNS names being rendered), so there is a minimum width imposed by the chart's table. Assuming this is a summary report, you might have some additional options if you move this data to a Modern Dashboard.

I'm wondering why it won't wrap in the space provided? it's fine if I make the columns really wide but I was hoping to add a 3rd column. As for Modern Dashboards best I can tell this requires a new learning curve for some quasi-programming skills and fancy sql queries. Prefer not to have to get into some new scripting/query building entanglement if can be avoided.

Word wrap in HTML requires a space character - since there are no spaces in the DNS endpoint names (ex: thing.domain.otherdomain.stillotherdomain.arewethereyet.local) you aren't going to get word wrapping.

You can also check out the Modern Dashboard shared space on THWACK for them. Someone may have already built one.

Okay so I'll have to create classic dashboards in Mr. Magoo size charts for mgmt. I don't often find content that matches just what particular companies want but will look. Doing a quick scan over Modern Dashboard creation again, seems okay but is definitely going to be a time sink to get up to speed and learn all the tools properly to get dashboards. Will have to go classic as best possible for now and see if client company has appetite for my time to learn Moderns...

Tested in my env, same behaviour at under about 600px on mouseover.

Honestly i'd just give it a bigger width before trying to recreate these from scratch. Perhaps rotate the pages in a noc view for more screen real-estate. The text isnt going to be readable too low anyway.

I was going for happy place between big big pie and tiny slices for less paging by our tech mgmt.

Snikes!!! Powershell v7.0, json files, cli scripted commands , direct server connects, as suspected far from trivial to obtain some premade content. I like playing with Mint and Linux variations but don't have the time to spend learning all the scripting tools often.

Best I can tell there isn't much help from Solarwinds tech on this or from Thwack. Everything I've rad about how to create Modern Dashboards points to very steep learning curve. Not sure what is Modern about that.

@Holcomb @witrick What would you want it to look like in this instance? Using the column sizes in the screenshot above you'd either cut a bunch of text off or you'd have text wrapping all the way down the page.

If you're happy cutting off some next you can use a customhtml element with iframes.

If you're not happy cutting off text I'm not sure what you're picturing. Maybe a mouseover thing?

I'd be happy if it wrapped the text even if that makes the column box longer, I could even deal with it being cut off if a mouse over shows the whole text. The thing is some of the canned provided dashboards do a three across okay sizing the text just fine but actually making one doesn't come out the same. Where's the secret sauce?
