Firmware Upgrade Process Widget - Custom Widget

I am looking to have a widget that shows firmware upgrade progress. We are currently updating over 200 devices and we want to see the progress on the dashboard at a glance. This is routine work every year or as a result for critical security updates.

We currently use a custom table for machine type x and version y as well as another custom table for machine type x and not version y. This shows us a break down of upgraded in one table and not upgraded in the other table. However for 200+ devices this is 200+ rows and is not summarized at all so not a great representation.

I put in a ticket with Solarwinds but they currently don't have any widget for this and submitted a feature request for it... Guessing it wont be on there next update so in the mean time trying to find something to give this functionality. I stumbled across the custom html widget and asked for help on some other post about it but here I am asking for help specifically if anyone can help me achieve this through custom html widget or other widget. Preference on other widget since it seems like custom html widget was locked down for security and preferably we'd not open that up. I saw some posts about SWQL when searching but nothing that I could adapt in a widget that I could find to achieve this.

I'm not very familiar with SQL/SWQL and adapting to widgets. Please let me know your suggestions/thoughts/solutions.

The “Custom Query” widget. This is the widge type I I use most. You can usually get to about 80% as nice as the built in widgets with these and can manipulate data however you like.

I cut this from a custom widget I use to monitor software versions. I edited it a little to try to make it manageable. Also, sorry if it is not in proper form...I'm definitely a makeshift SWQL user. This isn't the most efficient code block, but I usually write my custom queries like this because it makes it easier to implement the search feature when I want to.

Apologies for the noob question... What type of custom widget can I put this into?

I tried copying it into a custom chart using it to select the data source. I also tried a custom html widget. This is really helpful, I just dont know the basics how to use it.

Do you know if there is anyway to format the font like Green for correct version Red for not? I tried html tags and it doesn't seem to be working.

To be clear the above is a full solution worked for me and really happy with it and excited to start using this "Custom Query" widget more often!

Just checking to see if there are any thoughts on the above. I found this when looking and it seemed html tags were suggested but I believe this may have stopped working in 2020.2 due to security.
