IT Managers report

Hello,

I am looking to create a report that I could get each morning that shows open tickets for all the techs that are either open, part on order, or waiting on user.

After several attempts and creating such a report, I am no close than I was when I started.

Does anyone have an idea on how I could create such a report?

Most likely, what you are looking for would be handled as follows:

Report details set to table only

Row Category set to Assigned Tech

Column Category set to Status

Ticket data - select only tickets

Show Filters is your choice

Time Range relative, don't worry about filling in info for the time since you want all open tickets in those statuses.

Date Attribute for Time Range - leaving it at date worked on is fine

Filters tab add a filter for status and pick your three status types.

The results will give you the list of techs with the number of tickets in each of that status types as the data. If you want the list of ticket details, click on the number represented by the list of tickets is presented for that status type.

If you want the data showing up after you click on the number immediately instead of in that table, you are better off with an advanced search and saving the query, then run it when you need it.

Don't think you will get that look and feel using the report generator. Only way would be to do screenshots but that is not efficient. If you click on the open number value link, does it take you to the 2nd screen? Maybe that is way they can view your 2nd screen.
