Account Limitation Error - you do not have permission to view Net Object

Hi,

I'm new to Solarwinds and have come across this problem. I've read other users' posts on here and have tried everything suggested but I've still not managed to fix this problem

I've checked the account limitations and the devices that I am having the problems with are all allowed both in the user account and the view. Within the same view some sites are fine, but others are returning this error when I try to view them.

I've tried deleting and readding the devices but this has made no difference.

I've also tried logging in as an administrator and removing all limitations but still no joy

Does anyone know how to fix this please? Any help would be much appreciated

If you have access to the SQL database, check the Limitations table and make sure there aren't any limitations with a WhereClause of 1=1. If so, these little orphaned limitations can cause a bit of havok. To remove these, run the following query:

Delete from Limitations

Where WhereClause LIKE '1=1'

Another area to verify would be under the By Device Type area in the website. Make sure these devices are set to the proper view, then under Manage Accounts, check your account under the Orion General settings and make sure your Node Details view is setup for By Device Type.

We managed to fix it in the end. We discovered that the problem only applied to 877 routers. We went into Views by Device Type and noticed that for the 877s it was set wrong. Someone had created a view called nodeviews and it was set to that instead of Node Views. We changed it to Node Views and tested it again and it works
