Moving ONPM to a VM

Hi everyone. During the weekend, our windows guy moved Orion to a VM from a physical server. Now it won't start. There's an error message about needing a new key. Is it because the hardware changed? My colleague tried to get a new key through the software but it didn't work. Sorry if my post is a bit vague, he wasn't too specific in the details.

Did the windows guy run the License Manager to deactivate Orion on the server before installing on the VM?

If not, just download License Manager from your customer portal and install it on the physical server. When yoy run it, you will be able to de-activate Orion and free the license up to install on the VM.

He didn't. I downloaded the license manager but it says I can't deactivate the license, I need to call support...

I called support and they manually deactivated the license for me. License manager didn't work for that because we're still using version 8 and it will only work with the current version (9). I will be able to make the switch later today. Thanks for the help, Borgan.
