SNMP traps

New to this forum. I'm testing Orion NPM and having trouble with send trap portion. I'm sending traps to an SNMPc server. Apparently Orion is sending it's own address in both the sender and agent fields and because of that SNMPc doesn't correate the trap to network device with the issue. Any ideas on how to fix this?

That's a known shortcoming that will be addressed in a future release.

We also need to forward the traps from Solarwinds to our Netcool platform.

If your forwarding messages to your other server, try the "Send New Syslog Message" option. We use the following in Message to send:

::${DNS}::${MessageType}::${Message}

Has this issue been addressed in the latest solarwinds release? We are currently running 8.5.1 sp3 and are experiencing the same issue. I tried the syslog messages recommneded in the last post; however, these were not recognized by our application.
