Multi Client install of NPM

Hi,

I'm looking to purchase NPM for the company I work for but have a few questions.

We look after several customers in private networks and can't open SNMP across the network, so my plan was to install Network Performance Monitor within main network and then install additional polling engine in each of the client networks and get them to send all the information back to the main NPM.  Will this work? or is there a better way of doing it?

We generally don't support having pollers deployed at remote locations. You need to have very low latency between the remote poller and the main NPM server / database. If you have LAN like quality, then you will probably be good.

This is a good document about the required ports. You could also use a direct VPN to the site or use SNMPv3 for more secure access.
