not taking ${Status-Previous} variable

i put the below message inthe reset message on adv alert EMAIL

${NodeName} has changed from ${Status-Previous} to ${Status} at ${DateTime}.

but here is what i got on my email

RTR001 has changed from ${Status-Previous} to Up at Tuesday, June 02, 2009 5:04 PM

-WHY IT DID NOT TAKE THE VARIABLE ${Status-Previous}

-NOTE:the message was done on a copy paste from a txt file..(not thru the insert variable from the message screen)

The Variable ${Status-Previous} does not seem to exist neither in the Basic Alerts nor in the Advanced ones.

Where did you find it?

If I was to guess, it was a leftover from an older Orion release.

Appending "-Previous" (w/o the quotes) to variables is suppose to return the previous state before the trigger.

EDIT: Oops.. found an old thread that states that -previous only works with "Basics Alerts"...
