Website Configuration Failed:-web request for/Orion/login.aspx failed

Question

Hi,

I would like to ask the error I encountered. Upon re-running on COnfiguration Wizard of my Web Server i found this:

Website Configuration Failed: -web request for/Orion/login.aspx failed- The remote server returned an error:[403] forbidden

I already searched it to this forum, but i didn't see my same error, though some are closer but not exactly like this. I hope that some one can help me here.

BTW, i tried to access the two websites of my web server, the one is normal running but the other one is not.

Check your IIS setting on the server and make sure there is not a duplicate binding for the webserver.  I have seen the config wizard create multiple bindings before and that ahs cause this issue for me.

I forgot to mention the error on the orion website below is the error message

Orion Website Error

The Orion website is currently unable to display this page. Orion polling and alerting services often continue running, though this page cannpt be displayed.

Please take the following steps to attempt to alleviate the issue:

1. Log in to the website and naviagte to another Orion page, allowing you to isolate the error to this page.

2. Ensure the Orion services are still running

3. Check that your SQL Server is still running and accessible.

Please notify Solarwinds of this error. We will address and help you fix the issue/

your specify error is:

the type initialiser for 'Solarwinds.VIM.Web.DAL.SwisDALBase' threw an exception.
