Trap Viewer rules

Is there a way in the trap alert rules to be able to delay the output of the alert?

In the Advanced Alert alert rules you can specify that the condition has to exsist for a specified amount of time before the rules are carried out. I want to be able to do that in the trap rules.

Is there a way to get the trap and make it an alert?

When adding a rule- there is a "Suspend further Alert Actions for" check box under the Trigger Threshold Tab. This may get you what you need. You may also attempt the suggestions from this post.

I tried setting up "converting a trap" to an alert and it doesn't seem to work. Is there something I need to setup in the advance alert to show up in the alerts?

I have tried setting up a filter from that post you frefered me to on how too convert a trap to an alert. I don't see an alert for the trap filter that I created and wondering if there is a way to see if the filter even works (logs, viewer...). Is there something I need to program in the advanced alerts for these trap filters?

I found that my node ID was wrong. I do I find the rest of the node ID for the other devices. I have been looking in the database manager but can't find them. Can someone point me in the right direction?

So you are trying to figure out the node id for a set of devices? One way is if you drill to the node details page in the web for a node, you can see the node id in the url, example node id here is 133 - server/.../NodeDetails.aspx.

That helped, thanks. Now that I have all the node IDs correct, I have forced the device to send an SNMP trap but I don't see it in the alerts.
