I'm having an issue with NPM 9.5 SP3. Some of the Windows Servers 2003 I'm monitoring SNMP Service stops, it then comes up that the interface is down but the node is up. Once I restart the service everything is fine.
Any ideas?
This issue has been a problem for quite a while not juss this version. When we have a network issue some NICs on the servers would shown as unknown. you either have to rescan, delete and re-add the NIC if that didn't work you will have to restart SNMP sevice.
Yep thats the issue! Also says the servers been restart a ton of times as the SNMP services is keep restarting.
this should fix your issues. It was a issue with Microsoft's SNMP.

Applied this hotfix to one server which i was getting errors from and now it's worst. Keeps restarting every 10-15mins now
I rebooted the NPM server lastnight and all the down interfaces went. Then this morning I had a few more down interfaces so I rebooted again and everything went ok. Any ideas?
