Time settings for Unmanaging node

Hi,

I am facing a problem which I hope someone can help resolve.

Currently my orion is set to GMT time. Whenever I tries to unmanage a node via the Node Management UI, the time set is as per my desktop timing. ie GMT is 8am, but my desktop time is 2pm.

I understand that this can be controlled via scripting, but anyone can tell me which document I should be looking at and how can I change it so that the script will always look at the GMT time instaead of the user's desktop time?

So do you mean that web node management UI? I can see that we could add an option to use brower time vs. Orion server time.

Until this, could you just adjust for the time difference as you set it? Am I missing something?

Hi Denny,

Yes I am referring to the web node management UI. And yes, I could make do with adjusting the time difference manually. The problem lies with my side - I have colleagues around the world (and quite a number of them), and they will be having different time settings. It will be very inconvenient and confusing for them to adjust for the time differences when unmanaging a node.

I check through some of the scripts, and it seems that the UI uses javascript or something to control the time, the var seems to be "orionGetDate". I am thinking in the line of adding/editing the script so that it will read just the GMT time, instead of (var, this).

Hope I have not confused you yet.

Let's see if I understand. You want the unmanaged time to use the time zone of the node being unmanaged. Correct?
