Traps Received But Not Displayed In 9.5 Web-Console

I'm probably missing something.

I recently updated NPM from 9.0 -> 9.5 and (so far) I've not had any problems _except_ that when selecting the "traps" menu from the menu-bar on the web-console - there are no traps displayed.

I've confirmed the box is receiving the traps - too, looking inside the SQL table, I see recent trap alerts inserted into the table.

Prior to upgrading to 9.5, selecting the "Traps" menu option on the web-console worked flawlessly.

Any help?

I'm experiencing this very issue. The trap viewer application does show traps. If you open and case and it is resolved, please post resolution.

I have NCM _&_ NPM installed

Now looking at my database, (using SolarWinds DB Manager) under the NPM data/table "traps" is where all the received trap messages are being stored.

Viewing the traps table (using SolarWinds DB Manager) looking in the NCM database/table - the "traps" table is empty.

Could it be the web-console is (now) looking into the NCM (vice NPM) database table for the "traps" report? (Whereas before it was gathering the information from the NPM table?)

I'm confident the programmers will see this and already have a VERY quick solution for us.

I believe this is a defect we are aware of and looking at, if you look at the Win32 Trap Viewer, all traps show up correct?

Using the "local" (Windows version) of the trap message-viewer - it's empty.

Using the Database manager, viewing the traps table (listed under NPM) it's being updated as each trap-message is received.

Using the Database manager, viewing the traps table (listed under N_C_M_ it's empty as well.

I've had a case opened with support for nearly two weeks and they have been working diligently on my case. But, still no resolution yet.

I have the same problem. My "Trap Viewer" recieves traps, but no traps is shown on the NPM Web console.

Conclusion: The SQL table "Traps" is not viewed on the page "Traps.aspx" (some other table is).

Please open a support ticket. Developers are working on this bug. Opening a case will allow you to be notified as soon as a fix is release.

We are on SP4 and *some* of the traps show in the web console, but not all of them. How can this be?

Funny this should come up again.

We raised a similar case yesterday with the Events web page. We can see some events listed in the Events table, but not displayed on the web console.

Not sure how long this has been occurring for (I don't think it's something we would have normally noticed). Using 9.5 SP5.

Edit: From the support information provided, this actually looks like our issue with the way we are performing the table query. I'm having a look at the suggestions provided now.

Edit2: Confirmed that this was our issue - not a SolarWinds issue (apologies for the wasted electrons!)
