Hello everyone,
I'm using NPM 9.5 (will be upgrading soon) to monitor Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers. However, it does not seem to set the view correctly to the Wireless Controller one.
It's not problem for me doing it manually, but I run into an issue there. The WLC is identified as "Cisco Controller", but in the Views Per Devicy Type I can only see "Cisco Wireless Controller". If I set that to Wireless Controller-view, it doesn't change for the WLC, probably because it's being identified as Cisco Controller rather than Cisco Wireless Controller. Cisco Controller is not listed in the Device Types overview either (not sure why that is either).
Does anyone have a clue how to resolve this? I''m using the latest MIB database from Solarwinds.
I ran into this issue while looking at another issue. Said WLC is reports AP05 as being down, while the node details for that AP list it as Up (which is it). The Alert won't go away.
I've read about people having this issue when the AP associates with a different controller, however, this environment only has one controller, so that can't be the case.
If I check the WLC itself, it properly lists AP05 as connected and working properly. I tried re-polling and re-discovery, it didn't resolve the issue.
Thanks for your help in advance!
