I'm not aware of open api for modification of the engine. Just the one on top of existing. Regarding the performance - it's added layer between DB and web, so it can't be as fast as the DB itself. Some of the entities aren't directly mapped to DB and are performing additional computations. Each release we're working on it's performance improvements, but if you have some specific ideas, you can open the Customer Feature request and describe it there.

Not sure what you mean by this, but SWISv3 code is property of SolarWinds company and is part of the platform architecture. It just provide the API, which allows you to build your own applications/scripts on top of that. See Orion SDK Information

Thank you, Jan. I asked this question just because the performance of 'SWISv3' is far from ideal for some complex queries.

Do you know if there is any lower level APIs avaliable? Thank you.
