I am relatively new to Orion NPM and have an issue with an Airaya Wireless Radio that does not support SNMP internally but will respond to a poll for specifc OIDs. I tried going to the Universal Poller and selected adding a new Universal poller and added the OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.32.0) with a title of "RSSI" and a description of "RSSI of the last packet received". The next step was to apply that Universal Poller to a node or interface and that was as far as I could get. Only Nodes/Interfaces that were discovered using SNMP were available for selection.
I searched the knowlege base and found a tutorial for adding a universal poller that was for version 8. something (I am using NPM 10.3.1). The versions were different enough so that the details of the addition of the Poller seemed to vary and was not a great help. It did encourage me that what I was trying to do was possible and maybe even resonable.
So in summation, I am trying to add a new universal poller to a device that can only be added to NPM using ICMP but that does support several OIDs. I would greatly appreciate any help that would point me in the right direction.
