Alert When Custom Poller stops polling / data is old

We've just experienced a situation where our APC customer pollers stopped polling the UPSs. They stopped at random dates / times on multiple units. Other APCs continued to poll normally. Restarting the Orion server restored the polling. We unfortunately had to discover this the hard way, after a power outage went unnoticed by us until it was to late.

So besides opening a ticket with SW, has anyone in the community found a way to alert when a custom poller fails to poll a device? Or alert when custom poller data is old (say over 30 minutes)? At least then we would know Orion has failed us again

In the referenced UnDP in Content Exchange there is a KB reference to Replacing the Job Engine Database .

We are having the same problem with some pollers stopping in 10.1.3 which uses Job Engine v2. Can this same KB procedure be applied in 10.1.3?

- The SDF replacement described in this KB, helps in a situation of corruption. In such a situation, all pollers would likely fail, not some only. So applying this KB will likely not help in your case. Note that this KB has been refreshed. This procedure applies to either JobEngine v1 or V2

- In 10.1.3, the UnDP cannot use JobEngine V2

- We recommend that you open a case for this problem.
