I have defined several custom views in the environment. While I have not done a view restricted to a single tab, I don't see any reason why you would not be able to do it. It would just be a matter of removing all that you don't want to use and then setting that view for a particular group that you have defined. You would get started under Manage>Views in the Settings menu.
