Attach View to a Menu or Link

I have created a couple of customized summary views that I'd like to attach to a Menu or link on my default view. What's the best way to accomplish this?

open the veiw you want to link to. Copy the URL
edit the menu you want customized and add the button...
for the URL, paste what you copied earlier.
it is good practice to not hardcode "server"
i.e. "/Orion/SummaryView.aspx?viewid=35"

the above is one I have set up.
