Group Details Custom Page?

I have setup several groups. When I drill into any of these groups I go to the Group Details page. However this page is the same no matter what group I choose the only diffrence is the data displayed is relevent to that group.

I want to create a custom page for a specific group so that instead of getting the group details page it drills to another page.

I cant seem to be able to figure out how/where to change the link.

You could create a new custom view for that group, then link to it as a custom menu bar item and assign that item to any user you want. Otherwise, you are correct that clicking on the Group will take you to the generic Group Details page.

So the end goal is that I have a diffrent map for each group. If I add a map to the default page it loads the same map no matter which group is selected. Is there a way to make the page load the correct map for the group that is selected?

Yes, you could place a specific map on the view, but now that I look deeper at my suggestion I'm not sure that it will work the way you want.

Let me keep working on it and I'll get back to you.

OK, try this. It takes a few steps, but let me know if this works:

(1) Create a new group (if not done already)

(2) click on the Groups link in a menu bar, then click on the Group in question. You should go to the generic Group Details view.

(3) Look at the URL and note the NetObject "C" number for your Group.

(4) Now build a custom view for your Group. Preview the view and, if necessary, change the NetObject for the preview URL to the one corresponding to your target Group. The view should change to show your Group details using the new view. Copy this URL.

(5) Create a new menu bar item using this URL.

(6) Assign the menu bar item to some menu bar.

You would have to do this for each Group that you wanted a custom details view for, but right now I don't know of a more direct way to accomplish this.

From these steps:

OK, try this. It takes a few steps, but let me know if this works:

(1) Create a new group (if not done already)

(2) click on the Groups link in a menu bar, then click on the Group in question. You should go to the generic Group Details view.

(3) Look at the URL and note the NetObject "C" number for your Group.

Note the Net object ID and the View ID of the custom view

We are using a map on the Summary Home Page, in the Atlas you can change the link to that group to the custom link (same link as before but now you add at the end &ViewID=xx (where xx is your custom view)
