ADD linux node in Network performance monitor

Question

Hello for you professional, I come to you regarding the deployment of Server And Application Monitor. I would like to add Linux machine but I do not. can you please give me the procedure and configurations so that I can successfully added the node?and monitor it whit SAM

Were you able to get this working? As stated, we should probably start with the basics.

* Is SNMP polling working for you? If not, please see this posting: snmpd.conf EXAMPLE.txt
* Once you have SNMP polling configured and working, then you have several options. You can use SAM and try to "automatically" discover the applications running on your Linux system, but most security-minded IT folks don't like this. They prefer that you already know what is running on your system and you just configure templates to monitor those applications. This may require SNMP access to the system, it may require that you create a local account with limited admin access for running scripts.

You will need to add your config to SNMPd.config I think.  This will include your SNMP version, the community strings and the device IP of the device you want to communicate with via SNMP.  Plus you will need to make sure there are no firewalls in the way.

hello, please after configure snmpd on linux server that's all to be able to add linux node on NPM and scan application with SAM? OR there is some configuration to do?
