How to monitor Hardware information about server and network device

Dear All,

Please suggest for below requirements

1.> Sever and Network device  --> temperature, Humidity, Fan position, Power status etc.

2.> Did we map this information in rack view ? in mouse over tag

There are two parts of Hardware Health monitoring.

NPM is responsible for monitoring the network devices – routers, switches, wireless, load balancers, etc.

SAM is responsible for hardware “only” as a computing power that is going to be used for different reasons (web server, emailing server, etc.)

So in summary in order to get the Hardware Health information from your servers you will need SAM module .

SolarWinds SAM can provide that functionality out of the box to monitor Hardware Health and Alerting for you .

    * Available for Cisco, Dell, F5, HP, and Juniper devices.

    * Monitoring includes hardware health alerts and reports.

•  Temperature

Current Hardware Health Status

The current status of your hardware's health can be determined by the Current Hardware Health grouping, as shown below. The status for most items will read OK, Warning, or Critical, depending upon the set threshold values and the returned values. The icon colors for each item will change between green, yellow, and red, respectively. Gray icons indicate a status of Unknown, which suggests a polling failure.

You can click on the [+] and [-] icons to expand and collapse a particular tree branch of hardware that is being monitored. When collapsed, the top level view (or roll-up status) of each hardware item will display the worst status of an item in that branch.

Note: The default temperature measurement is in degrees, Fahrenheit (ᵒF). To change this to Celsius (ᵒC), from the web console, navigate to Settings > Manage Accounts > Select Account > Edit. The Temperature Unit dropdown menu can be found under the Server & Application Monitor Settings category.

Once that will be done you can create a MAP and place the HH health objects on the device MAP (Image) .
