Hi,
I am trying to use Oracle User Experience Monitor and as per documentation: Oracle User Experience monitor
SAM requires two additional components in order to monitor Oracle databases:
- Oracle's Instant Client
- SolarWinds Oracle Plug-in.
My question is, how can I check if these components are installed or not?
I am getting error when I try to test the monitor and so want to check if some required components are missing or I am doing something wrong while setting up the monitor.
Errors I get while testing:
- When I use "Oracle Data Provider for .NET" as Oracle Driver Type:
The Oracle Client software must be properly installed to use the Oracle QA Monitor.
Component uses following Oracle Client Driver: ODP_NET. This particular Oracle Client software can be downloaded from the Oracle ODP.Net webpage.
Underlying exception message is: 'Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed.'.
- When I use "Microsoft .NET Data Provider" as Oracle Driver Type:
Invalid length for connection option 'Data Source', maximum length is 128.
