Split SNMP field into custom properties

Hi,

In my location field, I actually have 4 pieces of information that are separated by semi-colons.

I have created 4 custom properties.

Now I want to split the location field and feed the 4 values into the 4 custom properties.

Does anyone know of a way to do this automatically when a device is added or changed or should I create a batch job on the database?

Where you ever able to find a solution to this? I'm trying to do the exact same thing....We populate the SNMP ChassisID on all of our devices with a custom internal inventory tag # and seperate inventory #'s with a "," delimiter for devices that contain multiple inventory tag #'s.
