Hardware fault Email not sending correct data

Hi,

We're looking to make better use of the APM Hardware Monitoring and use the "Alert me when a component goes into warning or critical" however out of the box the default alert keeps sending out the same Device Details in the table.

The alert correctly shows the part that's failed but the Model Number (${APM_HardwareAlertData.Model}) and Serial Number (${APM_HardwareAlertData.ServiceTag}) are always for the same incorrect server no matter what node creates the alert.

Is there a way to correct this? The alert Property to Monitor is APM: Hardware Sensor and the Condition used is APM Hardware Sensor Status.

I am also have the problem described in this discussion. I have followed the steps in the KB article; deleting the hardware alert and running the database wizard, but the problem still exists. I am running the SAM 6.1.1 with the two hot fixes that came out after 6.1.1. Any other ideas on what else I could do to solve this problem?

This issue resolves an issue specific to the out-of-the-box alert "Alert me when any hardware component goes into a warning or critical state". This alert, and any other custom ones that may have been created related to the "Hardware", "Hardware Type", or "Hardware Sensor" properties will also need to be deleted and recreated after the Configuration Wizard is run. Re-running the configuration Wizard will restore the default out-of-the-box alert to a functional state, but you will need to ensure that prior to running the Configuration Wizard that all instances of the Advanced Alert Manager are closed. If user remote desktop into the Orion server to configure alerts then ensure all sessions are closed and there are no running instances of AlertManager.exe running on the system.

Using Advanced Alert Manager, I deleted all the alerts related to Hardware, Hardware Type, and Hardware Sensor. Then I rebooted the server, and used task manager to verify that "AlertManager.exe" was not running. I re-ran the configuration wizard on the database and it completed. I then imported the hardware alert and the problem remains. When I look at "Type of Property to Monitor" I see "hardware Sensor" not APM: Hardware Sensor as the screen snapshot shows near the bottom of this thread. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/47840
