Statistics Data in Orion Maps?

I have valid statistics data I'm collecting from a component monitor (not sure if it matters, but it's a SQL query to our database that houses data backup information; the result of the query is the number of gigabytes of a backup set) and I want to get this statistics data into a number next to a green/yellow/red indicator on a Solarwinds dashboard (Network Atlas created or Orion Maps - I don't care which).

Is this possible? Basically, I want to say "whatever that statistics value is, put that number HERE next to this indicator for the node/app".

This is unfortunately not possible today. In Network Atlas there is not currently a variable available that would represent your statistic value. While Orion Maps cannot currently use variables, you could add the component, however the standard hover over provides basic status and not metrics. Ill take this under consideration for something we can try and improve from the Orion Maps project and I have notified the SAM PM serena to look into options for exposing this info on the SAM side. We can't commit to anything at the moment but certainly a valid need.

At the 30,000 ft level, the easier it is to show important data like this in a C-Level dashboard, the more likely I (all of us?) are to be able to sell on the value of Solarwinds products to the people that write the big checks.

Hi,

It's possible to show values from a component monitor on a page in NPM using a mix of custom swql and html.

I am using a custom table resource with a query to show the monitor value and change the colour using a CASE statement:-

Bump! i agree that this is a valid requirements for Monitoring SAM Statistic or Component Message specially in Orion Maps. Hoping this to be possible soon
