MAPI Round Trip Monitor

Is anyone else using this?

It is very unreliable for us. I cannot keep them going for more than a day or two. I am trying to monitor 3 mailboxes, on three different servers on 3 different pollers.

The error I get after a while running is: Unable to access the default MAPI user mailbox(Inbox)

After setting the APM to "Poller Bound" it seems to be working for now.

I would suggest that to be the default.

dfairles, yes we are using this - a lot, on multiple servers. Is it working? Depends.

What version of APM are you using? I know it was unrelaible on version earlier thant 4.0.

Usuually when we see that error it is a corrupt profile (used for the email) on the Orion server and has to be cleared.

Now, how relaible is it... still not 100% comfortable that it works as expected.

I am not sure why this was marked as answered.

I guess they are telling us this poller is not reliable and we should not use it.

I am using APM 4.0.2 SP2

I am getting a little frustrated by all the APM pollers that are hit or miss. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they do not.

This makes it very hard for me to get the users to trust SolarWinds.

Do you currently have a support case open on the issue? If so, can post the case number so we can review it.

I have orion apm 4.0.1. I have modified the Blackberry Delivery Confirmation script to access to my mailbox on exchange with mapi.

If I execute the script in "command prompt" in the orion server (Windows 2008 server) it works fine, because it ask me the credential (user name, domain and password), but, if I try to execute it from orion it doesn´t work.

I think that could be a problem with credentials, because I don´t know where put the domainname. In orion I can only write user name and password, but not the domain.

The orion server is not in domain.

Any idea?
