Question on Brocade SAN Switch

Hi All,

Need your input...

1. i have recently added 4 SAN switches and after discovery i dont see CPU, memory components identified... is anyone successful in getting it done via any other method.

2. In the Network Tab on the left side under the device, i see below details about connectivity Unit status and Sensor details.... Can this be used for alerting? These are showing up as read only..

The hardware sensors visible here are not available when checked under 'manage hardware sensors'...

I am new to solarwinds .
I want to configure the brocade switch for Sensor and power supply monitoring .I see you have already configure similar kind of pooling for it. Can you let me know how i can achieve it aswell ?

Hi,

I did not configure for hardware monitoring as the team did not want.. However for CPU, memory i just created UnDP and then configured an alert on it..

Are u aware of creating UnDP?

I have not created any so far. Do know some blog or document to refer for creating UnDP ?

For cpu/memory I would create a custom poller package so all of the normal cpu/memory populate in the default resources.

You will then browse the MIB tree to find available objects to monitor.
