how to visualize structure of an application

I'm configuring monitoring or an application which consist of several modules depending on each other. Application is a bit complicated so for the first line I need to prepare scheme with statuses of any of modules to let them fast and easy check if all is OK or which part is now working.

My idea was to add application templates from SAM to a map from Network Atlas, but I don't see option to show application template on network map.

How can I draw a map with network nodes and application templates?

Network Atlas is not setup to do that... best bet is to create a group and add all the nodes relevant to the application and then you can also select and add to the group Application templates and/or components... your choice.. then when the group is "expanded" all members (nodes, applications, etc.) will show up in the group listing...
