Remove Component or Service from IIS

I want to Remove IIS Event log Monitor from monitoring. Can anyone help me as how i can do this. I am not able to disable this from "Manage Application". Is it possible to create a custom template for IIS and add all the components below except for IIS Event Log Monitor. I have a specific group of nodes and i do not want to monitor IIS Event log and i want to remove it since its highlighting as red.

While you can't 'Disable' the IIS Event Log Monitor, you can configure it in such a way that accomplishes the same end result simply by changing the 'Event ID:' setting from "Find All IDs" to "Match only specific IDs" and set a numeric value which could never exist. E.G. 99999999

The beauty of AppInsight is you cannot create copies of AppInsight templates to do such things, one size fits all.

So i cannot remove the application pool and Sites component from monitoring atleast for a particular group or server??

You can put the pools into perpetual unmanaged mode but I find this solution sloppy. The AppInsight templates are a challenge to manage and alert on with any semblance of granularity unfortunately. These are things alot of folks don't really comprehend when managing 1000 IIS servers with thousands of sites. The inflexibility kills it for big shops. If only we could copy the templates with extreme granularity of each individual component. Heck, I can't even alert on the certificate check component granularly. You cannot select that object as a component alert and it drives me sorta nuts. I wish someone can prove me wrong on that one.

In manage application is there no option to disable IIS logs? aLTeReGo might know if this can be modified at a template level or something else; otherwise appinsight monitors are mostly preconfigured/not modifiable aside from turning off a particular value from being collected.
