GridConnect and Lantronix Modbus

We have 3 Diesel generators, one for each of our DataCenters, being monitored by a Gridconnect - Lantronix Modbus device that the installers configured for SNMP for our NPM implementation. I am having trouble getting MIB files from the vendor or manufacturer.

Has anyone come across them or have a ready UnDP file?

I do have attached SNMPwalk results from the device, but can not tell much else about what all I can ascertain from the device.

OID repository - {iso(1) identified-organization(3) dod(6) internet(1) private(4) enterprise(1) 22978}

And the last few lines of your walk show OIDs registered to GridConnect.

My guess is that those 0 values indicate a "normal" status with 1-? indicating levels of status for various aspects that the gridconnect module is monitoring. On the OID repository, they show a contact for the registration... I won't post that here but you might try reaching out to that person directly if their customer service is of no help.

Thanks for the info. I also read that on their website, but alas.. they installed the monitoring program on one of our facility guy's laptops and left. No help CD is available.

I have emailed the OID contact (from 2005) and am waiting to see if I hear back from him. Our facility guy is also trying to contact the vendor who installed the monitoring device, but they are not being very forthcoming either. GridConnect so far isn't helpful unless I know the exact model, Still trying to work on them.

This is an old post but I just got 1 of 4 generators online with the same GridConnect -Lantronix modbus controllers. Did you create any Orion views to see the status, if so were you able to modify any of the values to make better sense of the displayed data?
