The only solution I can think of is a new view with a page limitation. I was thinking you might be able to break down your summary page into tabs and have one that Overall another UPS focused, Network focused, Server focused and so on, but after testing the View Limitation affects all tabs. I think you will have to create a completely separate view for UPS and just add it to your summary bar. Now that I think of it i wish we could filter that resource like we can with many others.

In your questions I think you have "view" and "resource" mixed up. Views are the full pages and resources are what are on the page. The active alerts "resource" doesn't appear to have a filtering option, but a have verified that applying a limitation on the view will get the job done. However if you apply that view limitation to the Default Summary view you (and anybody else using that view) will not be able to see anything there except the UPSs that you want to see alerts on.
