Report - return all component settings which have been overridden

Hi All,

Here is another challenge - how to configure a report to let us know of all component settings which have been overridden across all templates which were assigned to nodes?

Some overrides might have a temporary nature and we need a way to ensure compliance across all network.

Hello,

Here you can find simple SQL query to get overridden component settings from SAM database:

SELECT

a.NodeID AS NodeID,

c.ApplicationID AS ApplicationID,

c.ID AS ComponentID,

c.Name AS ComponentName,

cs.[Key] AS SettingKey,

cts.Value AS TemplateValue,

cs.Value AS OverriddenValue

FROM APM_ComponentSetting cs

INNER JOIN APM_Component c ON c.ID = cs.ComponentID

INNER JOIN APM_ComponentTemplateSetting cts ON cts.ComponentTemplateID = c.TemplateID AND cts.[Key] = cs.[Key]

INNER JOIN APM_Application a ON a.ID = c.ApplicationID

Note: This query doesn't contain thresholds and script bodies - these two types of settings are stored in separate tables and the query to get them are quite complicated.

You may have better luck posting this request to the Report Lab forum. The two reports listed below should give you a great starting point, as they provide examples of reporting on application settings that have been overridden.
