We discovered today that a server's e: drive disk volume space used was incorrect. We discovered the credentials (user id & password) on the node detail's polling method were no longer valid for this server. How can we be notified of this situation sooner? The only way we discovered it was because the usage was showing in a 'warning' status (which was no longer correct). The poller statistics for this node looked OK. I scanned the log folders (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion) for the IP address and found errors logged in the Core.Collector.Jobs_[###].log files. After scanning the logs, I am seeing another server with the same error & a few other issues.
I turned on the alert to notify me if a managed node was not polled for the last 5 tries, but nothing showed up. Is there an alert that will notify us of this situation?
