CatOS Config Mismatch

We have been using the NCM 5.1 demo for about 2 weeks now and have had very few problems or issues.

One issue we have noticed is that our Running vs. Startup Config Conflicts/Mismatch page shows perpetual conflicts between the running and startup config files on CatOS devices.  While “show startup” is a valid CatOS command this results in perpetual config mismatch conflicts since the configs contain the date/time the show command is run.

Is there a workaround for this, or a way to make CatOS devices show up as supporting only startup or only running configs?  Or a way to allow NCM to manage/archive the output of “show config” only?

Hello Captain,

You can configure NCM to ignore mismatch for specific lines when it compares two configs.

Start > All Programs > Solarwinds Orion Network Configuration Manager > Orion Network Configuration Manager

File > Settings

Scroll down to the Configs section.

Click on Comparison Criteria.

Click on Add Pattern to configure a regular expression.

On a CatOS 6509 we have in the lab, the Time line config starts by: #time:

So the regex would look like: ^#time:
