Does anybody know how the SolarWinds agent collects information from the box it is on? Does it use WMI?

We are seeing a very weird behavior where we believe the SolarWinds agent isn't releasing WMI handles. Therefore, the box continues to poll using WMI without releasing those handles and eventually the box (or VM) eventually runs out of WMI handles?

Yes it does use WMI locally, you probably want to open a ticket with support so they can investigate your specific situation to fix the problem.
