Deleted Policy Reporter report

One of my users accidentally deleted the SOX compliance Report that is found in the Orion NCM Policy Reporter. Can anyone tell me how to get it back? are they online somewhere that I can access them and add them back in?

Hi Paree-huff,

In the Win32 app Policy Reporter, click File->Add sample Reports/Policies/Rule. This will add all the default reports back. However, this will overwrite the changes you might have made to these reports (if any). There is a pretty clear warning window that prompt for your confirmation before this effectively happens.

It seems that if you have created new reports (in existing or new groups), those will not disappear when you perform the operation indicated above.

I think this answers my question of "How do I hide the sample policy reports", at least from the website. I'm guessing you just delete them?

Personally I would love to see this mirror the "Orion Report Writer" method of having a "Make this Report available from the Orion Website" checkbox, would make things much simpler I would think.

Add in a "Copy Report/Policy/Rule" menu item and you could lock down the sample reports. Then if a person wanted to customize a sample report they could just make a copy and hide the original...
