Hello. Currently, I have timeout it set for 15 seconds however, saving tickets in the web interface is very slow. If I set to say 5 seconds I start to get timeout errors when WHD tries to send out email.
Ours is set to 30 seconds and it seems to work fine with no timeouts.
I would say it should be set to whatever is optimal for your environment. 5 seconds seems low to me unless you have your own mail server onsite. If you get no timeouts with 15 seconds, stick with that.
If saving tickets takes a while, it could be other resource or performance issues as opposed to latency to your mail server.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to get it working better with tech support. Needed to lower the Scheduled E-mail delivery threshold.
Connection timeout is now set to 60 seconds.
